Quick CRS estimator

Move through the fields and watch your Comprehensive Ranking System score build in real time. Then run the full calculator for the official breakdown.

This is a simplified estimate built for orientation, not an official score. The full calculator applies the complete IRCC grid, including spouse factors and skill-transferability caps. Nothing here is legal advice.

WHAT WE HANDLE

Every route into Canada, and every route out of trouble

From Visa to Citizenship. Everything Canada, Under One Roof

Permanent Residence & Citizenship

Express Entry, provincial nomination, PR card renewal and the citizenship application at the end of it.

Express Entry

FSW, CEC and FST, plus the category-based draws that have quietly become the main way in.

Provincial Nominee Programs

OINP and the other provincial streams, the 600-point route for profiles the federal pool overlooks.

Family & Spousal Sponsorship

Spouses, partners, dependent children, parents and grandparents, including Super Visa work.

Work Permits

LMIA-backed and LMIA-exempt permits, open permits, spousal permits and employer compliance.

Study Permits

Institution and attestation verification, permit applications, extensions and the PGWP that follows.

Visitor Visas & eTA

Temporary resident visas, electronic travel authorisations, extensions and Super Visas for parents.

Refusals & IRB Appeals

Refusal analysis, reconsideration, appeals before the Immigration and Refugee Board, and H&C applications.

RCIP: Rural Community Immigration Pilot

Fourteen participating communities, including our own in Sault Ste. Marie. Employer driven, no points score to beat, and a direct route to permanent residence.

FCIP: Francophone Community Pilot

Six francophone communities outside Quebec. Built for French-speaking candidates who want a community-backed route rather than a competitive draw.

Atlantic Immigration Program

A job offer from a designated employer in the four Atlantic provinces, with no labour market impact assessment. Each province now runs it differently.

Business Immigration

Build, buy or bring a business to Canada. The federal routes closed during 2025, so the provinces are now where this is decided.

Quebec Immigration

A separate system with its own selection grid, its own programs, and French at the centre of almost every route.

For Employers: Hiring Foreign Workers

Wage thresholds, closed cities, work site caps, and the four routes that need no labour market impact assessment at all.

Refugee & Asylum Claims

Claiming protection in Canada, from the eligibility interview through to the Refugee Protection Division hearing and the evidence that decides it.

Refugee Sponsorship

Private sponsorship, Groups of Five, sponsorship agreement holders and the government assisted stream. We prepare undertakings that hold up.

Humanitarian & Compassionate

An application on H&C grounds when no other route is open. Establishment, hardship and the best interests of a child, set out properly.

Inadmissibility, TRP & Rehabilitation

Criminal, medical, misrepresentation and financial inadmissibility. Temporary resident permits and criminal rehabilitation applications.

Settling in Canada

Practical support after you land. SIN, health card, banking, schools and housing, plus paid airport pickup and a first grocery run.

Commissioner of Oaths, Ontario

Statutory declarations, affidavits and certified copies commissioned in-house, without a separate appointment.

WHY UBUNTU

“I am because we are”

Ubuntu is a southern African idea: a person is a person through other people. It is why we treat a file as a family, not a case number, and why we will tell you when an application is not worth filing.

Licensed and accountable

Every file is handled by a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant in good standing with the CICC, with RCIC-IRB authority to represent you before the Immigration and Refugee Board.

Twenty-five languages

English, French, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba and more than twenty others. You explain your situation in the language you think in, not the one you are still learning.

Written retainer, fixed fee

You know the scope and the price before anyone signs. No hourly surprises, no silence between milestones, no fees for questions.

WHAT THE GUIDES LEAVE OUT

The parts of the process nobody warns you about

Meeting the published document checklist is not the same as being approved. These are the three places we see good applications quietly fall apart.

Leaving Canada on maintained status

If you apply to extend your permit and then travel, you can lose the right to work the moment you leave, even though your application is still open. Border officers are not obliged to warn you first.

The evidence chain in sponsorship

Officers assess whether a relationship is genuine, not whether your folder is thick. Joint finances, communication history and third-party evidence carry weight that photographs do not.

The 30-day request that ends applications

IRCC requests for additional documents often carry a short deadline sent to the address on file. Applications are refused every week for a message nobody opened in time.

Commissioner of Oaths, Ontario

Mary founded Ubuntu Worldwide to close the gap she kept seeing: people with strong cases losing them to paperwork, and people with weak cases being sold hope. As a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant with IRB authority, she represents clients at hearings and appeals, not only at the application desk.

Her background as a Registered Social Worker shapes how the practice runs. Immigration files are family files: a refusal is a marriage delayed, a semester lost, a parent who does not meet a grandchild. That is treated as the substance of the work, not the sentiment around it.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Straight answers, before you spend anything

Your Comprehensive Ranking System score combines core human capital factors, age, education, official language ability and work experience, with spouse factors, skill transferability combinations and additional points such as a provincial nomination, a sibling in Canada or strong French. The estimator on this page gives you the shape of it; the full calculator applies the complete grid.

Many people file successfully on their own, and we will tell you when that is your situation. Representation earns its cost when the file is complicated: a prior refusal, an inadmissibility issue, a complex work history, a relationship that is genuine but hard to document, or a deadline that leaves no room for a second attempt.

Thirty minutes with a licensed consultant. We look at your situation, name the pathways realistically open to you, flag the risks, and set out the deadlines you are working against. You leave with that whether or not you retain us. There is no obligation and no sales script.

No, but the clock matters. Depending on the refusal you may have a right of appeal to the Immigration and Refugee Board, an application for leave and judicial review at the Federal Court, a request for reconsideration, or a stronger re-application. These are not interchangeable and some have very short windows. Bring the refusal letter and the GCMS notes if you have them.

Processing times move with IRCC inventory and vary widely by stream. Economic programmes are generally the fastest; family class and humanitarian applications take longer because the assessment is more involved. We track your file through the official portal and tell you when something changes rather than leaving you to refresh a page.

The Parents and Grandparents Program opens through an interest-to-sponsor lottery, and the intake is limited. The Super Visa is the alternative many families use, it allows stays of up to five years at a time, with its own income, medical and insurance requirements. We handle both.

A provincial nomination add 600 points to your CRS score, which in practice guarantees an invitation to apply for permanent residence. Each province runs its own streams with its own criteria, and Ontario's OINP has streams for skilled workers, employer job offers and graduate degree holders.

Most of our clients are outside Canada for the whole application. consultations run by video or telephone, documents move through a secure client portal, and we act as your representative of record with IRCC wherever you are.

English, French, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba and more than twenty others across the team. You should be able to explain the most important facts of your life in the language you think in.

A Commissioner of Oaths administers oaths and takes affidavits and statutory declarations, the documents immigration applications frequently require. Ours is in-house in Ontario, so you do not need a separate appointment elsewhere.

A written retainer with a fixed fee for a defined scope, agreed before anyone signs anything. You know what is included and what is not. Government fees are separate and paid directly to IRCC.

No. Everything here is general information. Immigration outcomes turn on facts specific to you, which is what the free assessment is for.

Start with a conversation, not a contract

Thirty minutes, free, in the language you think in. Bring a refusal letter, a job offer, an acceptance letter, or just a question nobody has answered properly. You will leave knowing your options and your deadlines, whether or not you retain us.
